Complete Fix guide for all Fallout GamesĪll posts must be from, directly reference or talk about something to do with Fallout 76.When I battle against difficult foes (a 10 strong high level trapper patrol from WotC mod for example) my companion (MacCready) is out of combat without killing anything, I have to do all work myself and Lone Wanderer would be great (I don't have it). Otherwise the perk is superior to companions. Lone Wanderer does you no good when a fog lurker springs at you from cover. I also built a killer robot before the fight and used it because Ada is out of combat immediately on TS: companions are good as short time distractions. Overseers Guardian is a good gun but in the Mechanist quest there are so many attacking robots at a time you also need good armor and positioning. And/or you can just let Ada solo all the stuff attacking her to get the robot workbench. All you need are 3 fusion cores and like 1.5k-3k caps for a combat twoshot rifle from vault 81 and you can do the mechanist stuff no problem. Mind you on those higher levels you won't really need a robot. their carry weight is greatly reduced just like you, dogmeat is is 35 lbsĪ maxed out robots are the exception, they are literally killing machines with huge carry weight. them aggroing stuff and costing you stealth 15 minute walks because your companion fell from a walkway Originally posted by Locklave:Companions are a complete liability in survival, including dogmeat. What do you think? both side of the medal seem very good but i can't obviously get both (unless they decided to allow robot dog? ^^) And having that 30% damage mitigation (or 40% if i also pick attack dog final rank and use dogmeat) seem very useful to survive. With lone wanderer, i would get less hassle, i can pick it straight away and slowy unlock all his bonus without worrying about how to survive the mechanist final battle. Robots can be very powerfull and have huge carrying capacity (or infinite like any compagnon if you make them pick up manually stuff, except for dogmeat,) but let just say the dlc can be very hard on survival and i guess it can be a pain in the a** to gather all the crafting component, haul them back to the desired location to build one or mod ada. I was wondering, would it be more convenient to take the lone wanderer perk for his good bonus (+100 carry weight, +25% damage, +25 action point and 30% less damage suffered) and if i add attack dog finale rank i can get another 10% less damage taken from ennemies or use a maxed assaultron (or any other type of robot) from the automatron dlc as a compagnon?
